Last autumn, the BNSF mainline between Chicago and California was humming with trains. Now you can relive a two-day period and try your hand at shepherding the BNSF fleet. Included on these nine territories are every train (including those of Amtrak and other railroads) that operated over BNSF on September 10-11, 1999, between Chicago and Winslow, AZ, between Bakersfield and Antioch, CA and between Arkansas City, KS and Alliance (Fort Worth), TX. Fred W. Frailey, one of our most poplar territory authors, designed these territories

Follow the hot Z trains as they make their way east and west. Thread a parade of trains through the Abo Canyon bottleneck in New Mexico. Make room for dozens of Norfolk Southern freights east of Kansas City. Try your hand at nonstop meets between Amtrak trains on single track in California's Central Valley. Try to keep from losing your cool while setting up meets and overtakes on single track through Kansas and Oklahoma. We accurately show when each train actually entered a territory, plus its actual length and speed capability. Every planned delay (such as setouts and pickups of cars) is built into these simulations, including actual locations where local freights stopped to work. We even show how closely each train had kept to its schedule as it enters a simulation. For realism, you cannot beat this real-life snapshot of a busy American railroad at work.

You can download individual territories. These territories are in self-extracting zip files that must be executed (opened) to create the territories. Click on the file name you want to download. You will then see a dialog asking what you want to do with this file.

If you choose "Run this file from the current location", on the next dialog click the "Unzip" button to expand the file to the specified folder. The specified folder should be the folder in which ypur copy of Train Dispatcher 2 and/or 3 is installed.
If you choose "Save this file to disk", specify the folder where you want to download the file. After the file is downloaded you will have to execute it (open) by double clicking on the file name in the Window Explorer program or by clicking the "Start" button, the "Run" command and entering the file name.

Several customers have asked if we check the territories in the "Customer Contributed (Free)" library for computer virus. Track territory files are data files that are processed by our program (Train Dispatcher 2) when you load them. They cannot introduce a virus into your computer.
