707 Maisons sur Mer is offered for rental on a monthly basis during January, February, and March. Because we normally give returning guests first right of refusal on the same time period in the subsequent year, availability of the above months to new renters is often quite limited.

The demand and desirability of the three months above is not equal. There are issues involved with renting one or more of the more desirable months because such a rental may prevent the month or months with lesser demand from renting. Our rates take this into consideration and vary based on the month(s) desired, duration of the rental, accepted bookings, and are subject to change. Generally, the best value would be a rental of the three months as a unit ($4600), and the worst value would be a one-month rental of March ($2000) booked prior to the acceptance of reservations for either January or February.

We are also open to renting November and December on a monthly basis. Rate is negotiable, but must equal or exceed what we can expect from weekly rentals during those months. For the last several years we have rented two weeks in each of November and December.

Monthly rentals include linens, monthly cleaning, departure laundering of the linens, and a departure cleaning. Confirmation of a tentative reservation with a deposit of $300 per month is expected within two weeks of booking. The Maisons sur Mer building has a residential flavor and is especially well suited to long-term off-season rentals because the units are more spacious and the floor plans more interesting than those of typical beach condos. Many of the Maisons sur Mer apartments are occupied by permanent residents. A real estate agent in Myrtle Beach once likened living at Maisons sur Mer with living in an upscale New York City apartment. Of course, an upscale New York City apartment does not have the temperate climate and the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean seen from every window of most Maisons sur Mer condos. Other advantages of Maisons sur Mer are the on-site 24-hour security and the parking garage. The garage is access-controlled and designated for owners, but we are able to make the secure covered parking available to our long-term guests.

Long-term rentals of 90 days or more are not subject to the South Carolina and Horry County accommodations taxes.
